Microblading is a relatively new, manual tattoo method. Microblading is considered to be semi permanent in comparison to the traditional tattoo technique. It is done using a very fine blade, depositing pigment into the epidermis layer of the skin. The results are very fine, crisp, natural hairstrokes with no spilling under the skin.

Please note that smoking can affect the process and retention of microblading and you may notice that your results fade prematurely. In addition to causing the pigment to fade prematurely, anesthetics will not last as long.

This procedure is a two part procedure. Your initial appointment and your 4 - 6 week touch up. This is important for one to understand. If you are planning to go out of town for your appointment, keep in mind that you will have to make two trips. Second, they will fade, so don't worry. Some fading is to be expected. That is what the touch up is for. It's also a great time to tweak and make adjustments to your brows. Having a one month touch up really gives clients the time to see what they would like to do at their touch up appointments.

The pigment is a vegetable, organic pigment and is a lot safer on the skin than your average tatto ink. We can provide a patch test and test the ink on your skin to see if you have any allergic reaction. Call to book a time to patch test the ink prior to your appointment.

This is the most important step. Your brows are only as good as your microblading technician shapes them. No matter how good your technician is at the hair stroke technique, the brows will only be as good as the shape. After we draw out your brows with a brow pencil, you will have the chance to look in the mirror and evaluate them. You will want to look at the overall appearance of the brows on your face - not just simply at the eyebrows. Take a few pictures of yourself and see how they look in photographs. Do they flatter your facial features? Do they look natural? Do they enhance your features and bone structures? It is important to understand that both sides of your face are unique. This is why eyebrows are referred to as sisters, not twins. No two eyebrows are the exact same, but they do have to fit your face properly.

Pain tolerance differs from person to person, however we apply a strong topical numbing cream on the area prior to the procedure. Most clients experience little (if any at all) to no discomfort during the microblading. Once the microblading has begun and the first pass is complete, we will also use a liquid numb that penetrates deep into the pores and keeps clients even more comfortable during the procedure.

For most people it can last anywhere from 1 - 2 years. There are some outliers in this spectrum, but it all depends on your lifestyle, skin type, whether you are out in the sun a lot, etc. Touch ups are recommended annually for a color boost to keep your brows looking fresh and crisp.

Your end result will be a natural, hair stroke, semi permanent eyebrow. The shape will reflect the desire of the client. It looks more like hair than "filled in powder brows." If you are accustomed to the look of your brows with makeup on them you may still want to fill them in when getting all glammed up. However, having hair strokes to go by is one of the best and easiest choices you will make because you will know exactly where to fill them in. In addition, it takes less time to fill them in and make them look more glam because you already have an outline to go by.
